ETCOG’s East Texas Economic Development District has partnered with Grant Writing USA to host a two-day grant writing workshop in Longview, on June 8-9, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Maude Cobb Convention Center.
ETCOG works with local, state, and federal partners to assist with prioritizing and administering community development and recovery grants across its 14-county region. This workshop is for grant seekers across all disciplines to learn about funding sources and how to write winning grant proposals.
“Many of our communities heavily rely on grants to support their program budgets. This is an opportunity for them to sharpen their skills in writing competitive grant applications. Our team can also assist with grant research and application assistance to supplement their training,” said Lynda David, ETCOG’s Economic Development Specialist.
The workshop is open to local jurisdictions, city managers, commissioners, emergency management departments, bridge staff, parks & recreation departments, public safety departments, special districts, and anyone involved with disaster debris cleanup and management.
The cost to attend is $455, which includes two days of instruction, a workbook, and access to digital tools with over 200 samples of grant proposals. ETCOG members can receive a $50 discount by using code “ETCOG” at the time of registration.
